Introduction to Binaural Beats
Although the idea of audiowave entrainment options such as “binaural beats” has become extremely popular in the last decade I still find that when I speak of them to many people they do not know what they are. I also find that some people already use them but didn’t realize that their self-help relaxation CD was using binaural beat technology. This actually happened to me.
MY INTRODUCTION TO BINAURAL BEATS
I first began listening to binaural audios several years ago when I purchased a relaxation / meditation CD package. I was looking for a way to reach deeper meditation at the time and didn’t actually realize that I was listening to binaural beat technology.
It wasn’t until a few years later that I became really interested in binaural beats and other types of audiowave entrainment and how they can benefit me in several different ways.
WHAT ARE BINAURAL BEATS?
Binaural beats are generated sound waves that are created to influence your audiowaves.
With the right equipment it is not hard to generate binaural beats. The tricky part is making sure that the quality is good and that the sound wave is the exact right frequency for the desired results.
If you listen to a high quality binaural beat recording you can alter your audiowave frequencies so that you are able to experience all sorts of different states of consciousness as well as experience many health benefits.
HOW DO BINAURAL BEATS WORK?
Here is what you need to know about how this type of recording works. First of all binaural beats are considered to be a type of audiowave entrainment. The words ‘audiowave entrainment’ can sound scary and make one think of mind control.
However once you understand how it works, it is not scary at all; it is actually a very natural process.
A BINAURAL BEAT RECORDING WORKS IN TWO WAYS:
- First it introduces two separate frequency waves into your ears – one frequency in one ear and the other frequency in the other. This is achieved by listening to a binaural beats CD or MP3 with the help of headphones. The headphones are very important as they cancel out any outside noise that could get in the way of what your brain hears.
- In the second step your brain picks up the two different frequencies presented and creates a third frequency that is the difference between the two presented. The brain does this automatically as it wants to introduce only one clear frequency to the body.
The reason we are not able to just introduce the one desired frequency right off the bat is because the brain can only hear between 20 and 20,000 Hz. Therefore the low frequencies that are associated with deep meditation, higher consciousness and extreme relaxation cannot be heard.
When researchers discovered that the brain could produce a third low frequency if the right two higher frequencies were presented, this opened up a whole new world of possibilities and healing.
For example: If you listened to a binaural beat recording that presented a frequency of 310 Hz in your left ear and a frequency of 303 Hz in your right ear, your brain would produce a third frequency of 7 Hz. You would then be able to experience all the benefits that come along with the 7 Hz low frequency state.
At SoulTranSync our experienced sound engineers choose this low theta frequency to elicit deep relaxing , plus an open receptive subconscious state of mind. Our meditations are perfectly engineered to re-program your mind for cleaning using the Ho’opnopono mantra.
KNOWN BENEFITS
There are numerous other known benefits to using audiowave entrainment software. Besides the well known effect of being able to reach very deep meditation levels, you may also benefit from:
- Deep Relaxation
- Better Focus
- Improved Memory
- Psychic Awareness
- Lucid Dreams
- Increase in IQ
- and many other health benefits
